L2SLiberia — Letters to Strangers Liberia — is proud to announce the formation of its inaugural Advisory Board, comprising four distinguished leaders across mental health, global health, social entrepreneurship, and community development. This milestone marks a defining step in strengthening the expert guidance behind our mission to advance mental health access and youth wellbeing across Liberia.

The Advisory Board convenes for its first meeting on April 30, 2026 via Zoom, chaired by Mr. Reuben Reeves, Country Director of L2SLiberia. The inaugural session will align the organization's strategic direction, establish governance norms, and define collective priorities for the year ahead — covering programme scale-up, fundraising strategy, partnerships, and monitoring and evaluation.

Meet the Advisory Board

L2SLiberia's Advisory Board comprises distinguished leaders whose collective expertise spans clinical mental health, global health policy, social entrepreneurship, and humanitarian response. Their guidance will inform L2SLiberia's strategic direction as we scale free, trauma-informed mental health support across all 15 counties of Liberia.

Mr. Ahmed K. Konneh

Social Entrepreneur • Founder & CEO, DjaraPharma • Co-Founder, SMART Liberia

Ahmed K. Konneh is a Liberian social entrepreneur and Founder/CEO of DjaraPharma, an initiative working to improve access to quality and affordable medicines in underserved communities across Africa. He also co-founded SMART Liberia, a platform dedicated to empowering youth through technology and innovation. A Mastercard Foundation Scholar, Mandela Washington Fellow, and Gates Foundation Goalkeeper, Ahmed brings a deep commitment to rebuilding systems through social innovation. His work spans health access, youth empowerment, and institutional strengthening across the African continent.

Mrs. Tricia-Kay Williams

Owner & Registered Clinical Counsellor, Metamorphose Counselling • SFU Clinical Counsellor

Mrs. Tricia-Kay Williams is the Owner and Registered Clinical Counsellor of Metamorphose Counselling and Consultation, and serves as Clinical Counsellor for Black Students at Simon Fraser University (SFU) in Canada. With over a decade of clinical practice, she specialises in trauma, anxiety, transitional and career issues, and relational challenges while championing diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in higher education. She serves on the board of New Hope Community Services and on the advisory board of the Institute for Black and African Diaspora Research and Engagement at SFU. Tricia-Kay hosts Meta Transitions, a YouTube channel committed to reducing the stigma of seeking help. She is passionate about advancing mental health access on the African continent.

Mr. Benedict Dossen

Mental Health & Social Work Professional • MSc, Global Mental Health — LSHTM, University of London

Mr. Benedict Dossen is a seasoned mental health, social work, and gender development professional with over a decade of experience across health systems, policy implementation, and community development. He has led landmark initiatives in mental health programming, research, ethics review, and social inclusion. Benedict brings deep expertise in strategic planning, programme design, integrated service delivery, and stakeholder engagement. He holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Global Mental Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), University of London — one of the world's foremost institutions in global health research.

Ms. Kerrie Flynn

Global Health Professional • Clinical Research • Humanitarian Response

Kerrie Flynn is a Master's-prepared Family Nurse Practitioner, Classical Homeopath, and global health leader with over 40 years of humanitarian experience. She began her clinical and research career during the early HIV epidemic, serving as Chair of the Pediatric Patient Care Committee at the NIH and leading antiviral research. She has held senior roles including Director of Clinical Research in Orthopedics at Massachusetts General Hospital and helped establish a pioneering national rare neurological research network across Harvard teaching hospitals. Kerrie has worked across Africa, Asia, and Latin America — including Sierra Leone, Sudan, Kenya, Uganda, Eritrea, India, and refugee camps globally. She has served as Country Director for Global Response Medicine in Sierra Leone, and her work is grounded in community-based healthcare in underserved regions.

Advisory Board Mandate

The Advisory Board's mandate covers four core areas: advising on clinical programme design and quality standards; guiding L2SLiberia's fundraising strategy and donor engagement; strengthening governance and organizational accountability; and providing strategic oversight on monitoring, evaluation, and impact reporting.

Board members will convene on a regular cadence throughout the year, with working groups formed around specific areas of expertise. The first meeting on April 30, 2026 will establish the governance framework and priority agenda for the next 12–18 months.
