Losing someone we love is one of the hardest things a person can go through. Grief can show up as sadness, anger, guilt, numbness, trouble sleeping or physical pain. All of these are normal.
There is no right way to grieve
Some people cry a lot; others do not. Some want to talk; others need quiet. Grief often comes in waves, and anniversaries or reminders can bring it back strongly.
Things that can help
- Share memories of the person with people who knew them
- Keep up small routines: meals, rest, and time outside
- Accept help from family, friends and your community
- Write a letter to the person you lost
