For World Mental Health Day 2026, Letters to Strangers Liberia proposed a joint campaign with the Ministry of Health's Mental Health Unit under the theme 'Lived Experiences Heard: Real Voices, Real Change'.
The plan brought together three activities in the first ten days of October: a first Mobile Clinic outreach visit and youth field trip to Nimba County, a public 5K run/walk and community rally in Monrovia, and a fundraising evening to launch the pilot phase of the L2SLiberia Innovation Lab.
Every activity followed our storytelling standards: written consent before any identifiable story, image or quote is used, anonymity by default, and no child identified in any form.
